Our review system on FFLStockSwap is based on five key components that we consider the hallmarks of a highly successful Swap. Seven days after your swap has been agreed to, you’ll receive an email with a link to our review page, where you’ll answer five questions:
- Did the other party in this swap provide all of the information needed (including FFL documentation either in-platform or via another method) to complete this transaction in a timely fashion?
- Did the other party provide shipping & tracking information in a timely fashion?
- Did the other party deliver goods and/or payment in a timely fashion?
- Did the other party accurately represent the goods they included in the swap?
- Was the other party professional, respectful and communicative throughout your swap?
Question One: All The Information
When you sign up on FFLStockSwap, you have the option to upload a copy of your FFL to the platform. We’re working on a feature that will allow you to view the other party’s FFL within the platform after you agree to swap. For now, we advise that you should compare FFL information with the other dealer offline. This feature should be implemented very soon.
Question Two: Shipping & Tracking
No one likes to wait around—but every situation is different. If your shop is a good distance from the nearest shipment center, or if your delivery driver makes infrequent visits to your store, it may take a bit longer. Communicate with the other party so they know what to expect. Your shipping method is entirely up to you—all of that happens outside of our platform.
Question Three: Pay Up
How you send cash associated with a swap is also entirely up to you and happens outside of our platform. Just make sure you’re sending any agreed-upon funds in a timely fashion.
Question Four: Accuracy Matters
If you send a gun with a huge scratch on the barrel that you cleverly hid through selective photo selection, you might not just lose a star, you might get kicked off the platform. Depict your products accurately—because you don’t want to get duped either, which leads to…
