WHAT IS A “DEALER”?
An individual who is licensed to engage in the business of manufacturing, importing and or dealing in firearms. Persons must be licensed by the ATF to engage in the business of firearms. Dealer Types include: 01, 02, 03, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11.
If you are a type 07 dealer and manufacture more than 50 guns per year and qualify for excise taxes, you must sign up for a manufacturer membership.
